Ken Williams has been engaged in Christian ministry for nearly 45 years. He has served in both pastoral ministry and as a denominational executive, including the American Baptist Churches of the Rochester/Genesee Region. More recently, Ken served as Interim Executive Minister for the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut. Presently, he is pastoral care minister for the Baptist Temple in Rochester, NY.
Ken served for 25 years as a chaplain to emergency services personnel for the Brighton Fire Department, where he currently holds a seat on the Board of Directors. Ken served a similar role with the Brighton Police Department.
He is a graduate of Campbell University (B.S., Psychology), Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School (M. Div.), and McCormick Theological Seminary (D. Min.). Ken retired as Senior Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Rochester, NY, after 14 years of service there. A native of Aberdeen, NC, he and his spouse, the Rev'd Peg Nowling Williams, live in Fairport, NY. Their blended family includes four adult children and six grandchildren.
